Welcome! I'm glad you visited my page.
I hope you'll enjoy it.
I love to share what I've learned to encourage others.
"Behold, Thou desireth truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom."
Psalm 51:6 KJV
This verse sums it up for me:
As a Christian, I know
that God wants me to know Him
and know myself as He does.
It's only when I humbly depend
on Him that I have something
worthy to share.
The Bible inspires me with new truth that I can share and vouch for from experience. Worship music brings my focus back to God if I'm distracted.
The beauty of nature has inspired me to write about what I had seen: an awesome sunset or a visiting summer bird to identify. Another inspirational source comes sometimes when I create greeting cards. Creative projects excite me and propel me to write.
1. Catherine Marshall:
She wrote wonderful inspirational books, but I've always loved her novel, Christy. The author's concern for others and the drama of missionary life made it an exciting book.
2. Ellen Gunderson Traylor:
Her historical novel, The Song of Abraham, has been a favorite. I appreciated her well-drawn characters and attention to detail as she dramatized the life of Abraham.
3. Joni Eareckson Tada:
Her first book, Joni, was a deep encouragement to me that I still treasure. Her biographical books taught me many truths about the Christian life and how God uses suffering for our good and his glory.
4. Karen Kingsbury:
Her fiction teaches you how to live for God while you enjoy her well-crafted plots and characters. I enjoy most of her books, but her Redemption series is very emotionally gripping and rich in truth.
5. Theone and Brock Bodie:
Like Kingsbury, this duo are masterful story-tellers who create wonderful plots and characters. But in historical fiction. But they also make historical events come alive. I've loved their Zion Chronicles series. As you read their books, you learn rich lessons of faith to take with you.
